Collection of Extra Fuel Surcharge for Servicing Containers
Recognising the extraordinary increase in fuel costs, the Port Authority of Thailand has announced a Fuel Surcharge for container handling at Bangkok Port and Laem Chabang Port .The fuel surcharge is being implemented by the PAT in order to partially relieve the port operators from the impact of high fuel price, yet being able to provide world class container handling services.
We have enclosed the PAT announcement in Thai and English for your perusal. In summary , the surcharge which takes effect from 16th May 2007 is as indicated below:

The fuel surcharge will be added to all wharfages invoices and will be the responsibility of the receiving party of the wharfage invoice to pay the fuel surcharge along with normal charges.
