On Tuesday 11th October 2005, the World Shipping Council led by Lars Kjaer, the Senior Vice President and 15 delegates from many well-known international technology companies like Savi Technology, Motorola, E.J.Brooks, and etc. have visited LCB Container Terminal 1 Ltd. during their South East Asia Familiarization Trip.

Most of the participants are from the United States; thus the purpose of this visit is to focus on LCB1 and Laem Chabang Port gate move environment and to study the possibility of using radio frequency tags for reading electronic seals (e-seals) since the U.S. Government will probably require carriers and importers to be able to demonstrate record of supply chain seal verification in the near future.

All of the participants also visited Laem Chabang Port Observation Tower and familiarise the hectic working environment at PAT gates before leaving Thailand for Singapore, Tanjung Pelapas Port in the same day.
